Sailing Up the Baha Coast
Two weeks, engine repairs, some sea sickness, and stops in San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and Bahia Tortugas make for a great trip up the Baja Peninsula.
The first stop, San Jose del Cabo - not the spring break Cabo, but the small town, developing-marina type of Cabo - greeted us with great food, nice people, and very fresh margaritas. Thanks to some friends from the States, we got to take a truck-bed ride on the local "highway" (next to the future highway) to swing by the supermarket, which was newly built, and seemed to have lost it's way from a San Diego suburb and decided to stay put in Mexico.

After leaving San Jose del Cabo and passing by the famous rock formations of Cabo San Lucas, we journeyed further north, only to have a fuel system failure causing the engine to stop completely. With our destination directly upwind and against the current, and on a deadline, we had no choice but to turn the whole thing around and sail back down to the nearest port - which happened to be Cabo San Lucas. Yes, that one is the spring break Cabo. Not a bad place to be stranded while repairing an engine, and, luckily, a great place to find an excellent local mechanic.

What do you call it when a bunch of lovely ladies decide to throw it down and get it all on film? Ms. Super Park at June Mountain, CA! I had the distinct pleasure of watching it all happen from right next to the cameras, and I had to share some of the goods.

Taking runs at Heavenly
On the top of the California side of Heavenly Ski Area, there is some super fun terrain - I made a quick video just so you could check it out!
Sorry about the video quality, but it shows some of the terrain and it was fun to make.

the life
Utah is incredible. The spaces are big. The mountains are tall and steep. The people are friendly. And, not least of mention, the snow is possibly the best in the entire world. So when some friends from your home ski area make an exodus for the mountains of Park City and the Canyons, and extend an invite, you don't waste it!

So let's review the scenario: several of the best people I've ever met, and hadn't seen for way too long, picked up and moved to a new location. And they didn't even plan the move as a group, so you know the location was a good one. So I picked up my stuff for a week and went to visit.
